1938 - 1941 No. 6 Blue Box Game

The dating of this game has generated a lot of discussion among collectors, so the following is my rational for the 1938 to 1941 dating of these sets. London office was closed and the Chicago office opened in 1938 - this is key to initial dating. The 1,509,312 and 2,026,082 Patents were used together from 1936 to 1941. The 2,026,082 Patent was filed for in 1935, began use on games in 1936 and ended 12/31/52

To validate the timeline you must consider the following:

IF A GAME BOX, BOARD, INSTRUCTIONS OR INCLUDED INSERTS HAVE THE 2 PATENTS ON IT, OR, A COMBINATION OF THE 2 PATENTS AND THE SINGLE 2,026,082 PATENT WITH CHICAGO, THEN THE SET IS A GAME FROM 1938 to 1941.

Other indicators of this dating are the money and tokens. Salmon colored 100s with the rest of the money bills having a bright color is indicative of the timeline. If the bills have a faded look, they are for a 1941 or later sets due to a change in the ink used (possibly War related). Standard Wooden Tokens were mostly used, with some sets using the improved quality Metal Tokens.
