Click to view full-size. 1953 Popular Edition The 2,026,082 Patent expired January 1, 1953. Parker Brothers had a significant inventory of 1952 game boxes and boards with the 2,036,082 Patent. So they used the Mustache to cover up the Patent number on the playing boards and boxes. But, as with many of these early games, quality control was not the best so you will see variations especially with the 4 board types: 1. Mustache outer label and on playing surface 2. Mustache outer label and Legal Description with Patent Number on playing surface 3. Mustache outer label and Legal Description with NO Patent Number on playing surface 4. NO Mustache on outer label but Mustache on playing surface |
