 Click to view full-size. 1933 Charles Darrow Monopoly Oilcloth The owner of this Oilcloth is Shaina Darrow and she is the Great Granddaughter of Charles Darrow. One of the unique features of her Oilcloth is that there are no colors on the property squares which indicates that it is one of the first produced by Darrow. The following is the history of the Oilcloth provided by Shaina Darrow: It was left to me by my father, James Vincent Darrow. His mother Ann Darrow Combs left this board to him as he was Bill Darrows adopted son. Bill Darrow was Charles' son. So the boards and any artifacts remained with the family. My aunts, uncles, and cousins are all members of a board or trustees that oversee all Monopoly enterprises. (To the best of my knowledge) My father and his older sister were not included in that, as they were adopted by Bill when my grandmother remarried to him. When my father passed, I salvaged everything I could but a lot of the game boards and parts went away to family. This is all I believe I have but I will search in case I can find any other parts.
